Member Hospitals

Our member hospitals are our clients, but they also act as resources for CHSS. Their materials management, finance and logistics personnel are consulted to facilitate collective decision-making. Respectively, CHSS cultivates close relationships with all the above-mentioned stakeholders because they are the backbone upon which regional goals are achieved.

The CHSS member hospitals are also staffed with valuable clinical resources. CHSS engages them through committees, working groups or by direct contact in order to participate in the regional decision-making processes.

The CHSS objective is to engage these resources to achieve the region’s ultimate goal of improving patient care in an efficient manner.

See below our member hospitals & health care organizations websites

Membership Information

CHSS members are all non-share corporations providing healthcare services in the province of Ontario.

All Hospital members have representation and voting rights on the CHSS Board of Directors, the CHSS Annual General Meeting and the CHSS Operations Committee.

Non-member organizations wishing to participate in a CHSS initiative are required to pay a nominal fee.

Committees

Operations Committee

In addition to the CHSS Board, CHSS operates with one permanent committee: our Operations Committee which is responsible for reviewing CHSS performance, resolving issues, providing a strategic outlook and establishing/reviewing service levels and other related items.

Membership: The CHSS Operations Committee consists of four (4) CHSS representatives, and Material Management Directors, Managers or delegates from each Member Hospital. The chair is the CHSS Sourcing Manager. Each party has one vote. All decisions of the Operations Committee are made by consensus of all members present at the meeting of the Operations Committee

RFx Evaluation Committees

As part of the tendering process, CHSS will create ad hoc evaluation working groups comprised of hospital subject matter experts, to establish RFx specifications and evaluation criteria, and to participate in the proponent selection process.
